- Mount the three ground support legs to the coil’s base frame for stable upright placement.
- Slide the ash collection tray directly beneath the heating coil to catch hot embers and ash.Your Model D2 coil kit is fully assembled and ready for use!
Step 2: Link Model D2 Coil to Your Barrel / Soaking Tub
Follow these steps to connect the heating coil to your tub or stock barrel:
- Drill two 25mm diameter holes through the tub wall; align the hole spacing to match the distance between the coil’s two extension tubes.
- Secure tub fittings into the drilled holes (tub fittings included).
- Attach hose between each coil extension tube and the installed tub fittings (connecting hose included).

Can I get a longer hose?
The standard hose length is 100cm which is sufficient for most setups. If you need a longer hose, please contact us before ordering with your desired length, and we will provide a custom quote.
Will the system melt from high-temperature water?
No. All piping parts are made of stainless steel, and the hose uses heat-resistant silicone that can withstand temperatures from -200°C to 200°C. The system is designed for high-temperature use and will not melt under normal operation.
Do I need to drain the coil in freezing weather?
In very cold conditions, you can drain water from the coil to protect the system and improve heating speed for next use. Even if you forget, the thick stainless steel construction will not crack or burst from ice expansion. To drain, simply loosen the clamps and remove the hoses from the coil ends.
Is it easy to remove the coil kit from my tub?
Yes. You can disconnect the coil in about 30 seconds by loosening the clamps and removing the hoses from the tub fittings. If you want to keep water in the tub after removal, let us know when ordering, and we will include sealing caps to restore your tub to its original state.
Is this coil compatible with any hot tub or stock tank?
Yes. It fits most stock tanks, plastic tubs, wooden hot tubs, and barrel tubs. You only need to drill two 25mm holes for the fittings. Our tub fittings work with wall thicknesses from 1mm to 50mm. If the wall thickness of your tub is more than 50mm, note its actual length when ordering, and we will include a longer fitting.
Is this coil kit safe for bathing?
Yes. The coil is made of food-grade 304 stainless steel and the hose is sanitary grade heat-safe silicone hose, non-toxic, rust-resistant, and completely safe for human bathing.
