Is there special requirement for my tub?
No special requirement. Our coil kit can work for any type tub, it can be your traditional tub, container, barrel, stock tank, even or small swimming pool. Just require them can be drilled. Once the tub and the coil are connected by hose, your wood-fired heating bathtub will be ready immediately.
What diameter of hole should I drill on my tub?
If you choose our models which comes with tub fittings, then you need to drill 2 holes with diameter 25mm on your tub wall.
What maximum thickness of your tub fitting can clamp?
If you choose our models which comes with tub fittings, then your tubs wall thickness can be up to 50mm at maximium. If your tubs wall thickness is more than 50mm, please make a note when ordering, we will equip longer fitting (up to 70mm long) for your order.
How long hose in your models? Can I have longer hose?
If you choose our models which comes with hose, as default, we`ll put 2 hoses with 100cm long for each hose. If you need longer hose, please go to our page of Custom-made coil kit to purchase, notice that the hose is still 100cm per piece, we will send prolong connector to let you connect them. Of course, you also can prolong it with your own hose. Your hose need internal diameter 25mm and can stand high temperature.
Is it easy to take off coil kit from my tub?
Yes, our coil kit features portable. You can take coil with hose on or off very quickly from tub fitting, you can finish it in 1 minute.
Can I use my tub as traditional original tub after I remove coil system?
Normally, after you remove hose and coil from tub fitting, the water in tub will flow out from the drilled hole. If you choose our models with hose kit, and you still want to use your tub as traditional original tub after remove coil system, note it when ordering, then we`ll put in two caps for tub fitting. You can screw caps onto 2 tub fitting, then the water can keep in tub.
Should I drain out the coil in frozen weather when it isn`t using?
Yes, if you want, you can drain out in frozen weather. But not must, because the coil is made from thicked stainless steel tubing, the hose is made of super silicon, ice force couldn`t blast them. Of course, it helps to speed up heating water in next using if you drain out coil in frozen weather when no use.
Are the black hoses heat-resistant near the fire?
Yes. Our silicone hoses can tolerate -40°C to 200°C, safe for fire-side use. And also safe in very cold weather like ice enviroment.
What time will the coil take to heat water in tub?
Heating time depends on 4 key factors: water volume, starting temperature, ambient air temperature and your tub`s insulation.
Our tested Performance: Our standard 200-gallon (0.80 m³) hot tub heats: From 18°C (64°F) to 40°C (104°F) in ~90 minutes; From 13°C (55°F) to 40°C in ~2 hours. For ways to speed this up, see our tips for maximizing heating efficiency.
Does BBQ grill or Rain deflector can be removed off?
Yes, if you want, you can remove off BBQ grill or Rain deflector from the coil, so, you can wash them easily. It`s very easy, takes 30s only.
Can I custom coil?
Yes. For tubing, there are 25mm and 32mm for choice. Tell us which tubing you need, and how many circles. Then we will quote to you. Of course, custom-made need long time to finish. We will estimate shipping time when quote to you. Visit our tailor-made coil kit page to get started.
Can I use it with a saltwater tub?
Yes. Our material stainless steel resists saltwater corrosion, and we suggest to rinse with clear water after use for longevity.
For the models with valve, can I reposition the stop valve closer to my tub?
Yes, we would not pre-assemble hose with valve together. So that you can install valve close to tub or to coil.
Can I leave the coil kit outside all year?
Yes, the coil, the hose and accessories are all weather resistant. However, storing it in a dry place when not in use for long periods will extend its life.
Does wind guard sheet help to improve heating speed?
Yes, wind guard sheet can lock more heat in the coil stove, it helps to improve heating speed.
How can I install tub fitting on corrugated tube side?
It is better to find plate side to install tub fittings. If could not avoid corrugated position, we have idea to install. Check our leak-proof connector fitting guide.
How to improve heating speed?
Choose our F series, it locks more heat in stove to improve heat speed. Custom bigger tubing coil or with more circles can increase contacting surface to fire, they also improve heating speed. And you also can do insulation on tub and connecting hose to shorten heating time.
What`s safety measures when using fired coil?
1, The warm water return tube from the coil must remain below the water level in your hot tub at all times. If the water level drops below this point, for instance, when people exit the tub, the water inside the coil may overheat, creating an unsafe condition and a risk of injury from scalding water or steam.
2, Carefully plan how you will attach the coil to your hot tub and ensure the installation is well thought out. Be sure to leave sufficient clearance above the warm water return line so it remains below the water level even after people exit the tub. If the water level drops below the warm water return, it could create a risk of injury from scalding water or steam.
3, Do not touch hot coil! The coil must be supervised at all times during use and while cooling down, especially when children or pets are nearby.
4, Carefully plan where you position your coil, ensuring the surrounding area is clear of any obstructions or flammable materials.
